Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Delaware

Contractor tools stolen from my property

A contractor was working on my house, he took an hour and a half to leave my property to get lunch and when he returned his tools were stolen. He seems to think my home owners insurance should cover the cost of his tools. I don't feel liable being that he left his tools in an unsecure location on my property. He himself is insured. Who is correct? Thank you!!
