Legal Question in Personal Injury in Delaware

auto accident

auto accident policy lapsed,got ticket for in attentive drivig but not for lac of ins becuse card sd didnt expire until 2000,other party has lawyer wats person to sign a disclosure becuse they may not have ins so other party can file under un insured motoist,should they sign and what action will become of the ticketed party with lapsed ins?

I am not sure what you mean by "disclosure." If you mean to sign a statement confirming you do not have insurance, that does not hurt you and allows the other driver to leave you alone and pursue uninsured motorist (UM) coverage from his or her own insurance company.

After the other driver recovers, however, his or her insurance company may come after you (subrogation) for repayment of what was paid to the other driver. That is when you will pay for not having insurance.
