Legal Question in Business Law in District of Columbia

want to create different scope for company; should i create another corporation or is there another way to keep it associated to main company - I have a public relations firm (llc); want to form a production arm .. should it be separate or be subsidiary or what?

Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Most business like to keep their "arms" separate so that if one arm gets sued, the other arm doesn't get dragged down with it. It will also matter for tax purposes what type of legal entity you choose. I would strongly recommend that you hire a DC transactional corporate lawyer who can take some time to understand the specifics of your situation.
