Legal Question in Medical Leave in District of Columbia

LWOP due to medical condition

Does my Federal employer have the right to force me to use my 30 hours of annual leave. Instead of lwop. I use all 12 weeks of my FMLA. I was told today I must use my annual leave instead of lwop.

Re: LWOP due to medical condition

Yes, they do.(In fact, instead of having approved your FMLA leave [without pay] which you've now apparently exhausted, your employer could've required that you first use your accumulated annual leave before going on FMLA leave.)
