question on automatic visa revalidation

hi

my h1b visa expired in my passport and i dont have time to get my h1 visa stmping...my i94 is valid until 2011. i have a canadian PR...

so, can i do this..

go to canada from US...

go to india from canada

come back to canada using my PR with 30 days..

and then enter US on automatic visa revalidation...

is this possible ..

please suggest...

You do not need a visa to reenter the United States if you have proof of Landed Immigrant status in Canada and possess a passport from a country which is a member country of the U.K.'s Commonwealth (which India is).

If you are applying for readmission from a contiguous territory following an absence of 30 days or less, you are eligible for automatic visa revalidation. See 22 CFR �41.112(d).
