Legal Question in Traffic Law in District of Columbia

how to get this removed: need a lawyer

hi

i got cited in VA last year for reckless driving ( driving 20 miles over the speed limit)

but then it was dropped to a regular speeding ...after i paid the fine..

now, i just purchased my criminal report and see that the above has been reported in my criminal report

as a speeding offence..

does it mean, its a criminal offense, since it appears in my criminal report...

how long will it stay in my criminal report

is there any way, i could get that purged or deleted from my criminal report

No, speeding is considered a traffic infraction and not a criminal offense such as reckless driving is classified under the Criminal Code of the Commonwealth(Class 1 misdemeanor).

Your last question would need to be addressed to those who maintain the database(s) from which your criminal report was compiled.
