Legal Question in Family Law in Dominican Republic

foreign divorce

My husband and I went to the Dominican Republic for a divorce - there are no signautres on the divorce papers and there was not domicile established. I am looking to find if this is a legal divorce, or how to find a statute to legally tell me. I have not remarried. I would like to know this information so that I can plan my retirement - his social security would be of great help to me and I can not get a decision from Social Security until I apply in a few years. I have never been able to afford an attorney to research this question. Thank you.

Re: foreign divorce

scan and e-mail or fax me the divorce documents. [email protected] or fax (809)565-6934 Did you sign a Separation Agreement? What do you mean by no signatures? The Judge's signature is not on the ruling? You and your husbands signatures?.....Best Regards!
