Can a person with a speech impediment file for disability?

The ADA defines disability as an impairment that affects a major life activity and it calls for making a determination of disability on a case by case basis. The determination would depend on how severe the speech impediment is. Not all people with a speech impediment would be considered disabled under the ADA, however, certainly some would.
