Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

My family member went through bankrupsy it was. Complete 2 years ago. She was contacted recently there were two. Pieces of property that did not go they were listed but they had her maiden name on them since they are still in her name. This realiity company wants to pay the taxes and give her a small amount. She is 82 having a hard time but does not want to do the wrong thing. Thank you for your help

Your description of the bankruptcy requires more facts. If she was the owner of the property, she should have listed it in the bankruptcy petition; ownership in her maiden name is not legal reason for not including it. The terms of the discharge and other orders determine her subsequent rights to any such property not included in the bankruptcy. Also, the realty company has no rights to the property until the matter is cleared up regarding the bankruptcy. Any creditors in the bankruptcy may have rights to the property as well.
