Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

Rights To Your Home When One Party Files Bankruptcy

If an individual files bankruptcy or is sued for money owed from a personal indebtness before marriage, can the bankruptcy mean loss of a home or equity in a home if sold? And how does it affect the other partner as far as the home goes. Both names are on the home, so can they take all equity if the home is sold? Or can they make you sell the home for repayment of only one partners indebtedness?
