Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Auto repair side jobs

I am a mechanic in florida and work for a dealership. Is it legal for me to do side jobs not related to customers that come into where I work (no conflicts). Do I need to have a business licence or can I just do small jobs in my driveway or at people's houses without being a registered motor vehicle repair shop?

The county you live in is likely going to require a license. To obtain one, you could apply for one yourself. Or, rather, if a corporation was registered at your home address, you may be able to use the business location there for the license. To establish your own Florida company, please feel free to contact me for more information.

Unless you have a contract that does not permit outside work, then there is no propblem doing so. Your county probably requires a lisence. Give them a call and they will tell you what you need.
