Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

A company named SURVEY PLATINUM has mailed me a job opportunity which I want to know if it is legitimate. The position is for a customer service evaluator. They have mailed a check to me for $1900. The first weeks pay is for $155.00, a first evaluation fee of $1550.00, a fee for western union for $105.00 and a retail assignment fee of $90.00. How should I respond?

Thanks,

Ed Bineau Jr.

As a Franchise Attorney I don't know anything about this company. But the offer sounds fishy. If a company wants to employ you, they don't charge any of these fees. If it's an employment agency, they collect their fee from the employer, not from you. There are a lot of employment scams prevalent on the internet, especially in these economic times, so beware! Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
