Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Doctor's Office Bills

Hey there, I have a question regarding medical bills.

Here is a simplified version of the hell that is dealing with Advanced Dermatology:

I used a private health care company that ''reprices'' your medical bills under certain conditions. I have receipts and billing records showing that I have paid the correct amount of all bills.

The doctor's office claims I owe them some 600$. I have already paid them, and they are re-billing me. I have all the proof in America you could have that I have already paid, and they refuse to believe it.

What can I do, and what should I do if they attempt to use a collection agency or other means?

Thank you very much.

Re: Doctor's Office Bills

The question is whether the doctor is obligated to honor the repricing. If the doctor does not have a contract with the repricing entity that obligates him to accepty less than he charges, then you still owe the doctor. The insurance company has just repriced what they will pay -- not what you owe.
