LLC without insurance

If an LLC does not possess liability insurance, does this negate the liability protections afforded to such entities?

Absolutely not, members of LLC's are still afforded personal liability protection from creditors (absent intentional, fraudulent conduct, etc.).

No, it just means they don't have insurance and would have to pay from company assets.

No. An LLC will still insulate its members from all sorts of liability (similar to a corporation).
