Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

I opened a small business, got all the licenses, etc. and incorporated. Never opened -did not renew license. Disbanded the corporation. Two years later county is trying to collect delinquent taxes. Corporation had no assets - never did - never made a cent. Am I personally liable for these taxes? What legal action can they take to collect?

Any attorney will say the reason for setting up a corporation is to avoid personal liability. The state may suspend your corporation until the back taxes are paid, but that doesn't sound like an issue to you at this point. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
