Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

who's responsiblity

Hello, my husband is a fine art muralist he completed a 5 month mural in a large bathroom, all was well after completion he went a month later to put a thin sealer type clear coat made for protection over murals good to go over latex and acrylic paint and now 3 weeks later it has cracked pretty much all over the painting obviously this is a huge problem with unhappy client and artist that worked for 5 months and now may have to give the money back. We called the supplier of the clear coat, but have not heard what their response is. Is there anything we can do not to loose out is this terrible situation? it is really bad that he stuck this job out and completed it and all was well until this clear coat!!

Re: who's responsiblity

Take lots of pictures. If the clear coat was designed and sold to be caable of providing the coating to this type of material, then it sounds like there was a product defect. Be sure to keep whatever is left of the product itself.

Have the clear coat analized to determine if it is defective.
