Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Being underbilled by suppliers, what to do?

We are based in the UK, as a registered private business, our suppliers are based in Florida. Our suppliers have invoiced incorrectly from the start, and we have had to spend hours going over each invoice we receive to make sure that it is correct. Until recently, they had been overcharging by a small amount here and there. We would go through the bill and correct the items, send it back to them, and pay what was the full and correct amount. The last two months, they have been undercharging us quite considerably. Recent bills have been undercharged by over $2000 each month. Business sense tells me that if I should not pay more than they are invoicing. After all, why should we spend time and effort going over bills each month if the net result is that we end up paying more than they want us to anyway?

I therefore need to know my legal rights. If we pay the amount they request each month, are they then entitled to come back to us 5 years down the line to collect payment even though they didnt invoice for it originally? Currently we are placing the additional funds into a reserve account, just in case we need to access it for them one day.

Thanks for taking the time to read this; I hope that someone will be able to assist us!

Your procedure is correct since eventually they will find their error.
