Linking to Websites

Do I need to get permission from an organization if I would like to put a link to their home page on our website? I am planning to build a webpage devoted to charities our company supports and would like to link to each one.

Most websites would appreciate the traffic generated by your link. However, you should contact them to make sure the do not have an objection. It is possible that, for reasons you may not consider, or may not agree with, the other organization may not want to be associated with your company or website. It is also possible that they would return the favor an place a link to your site on theirs.
