Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

I owed a debt to capitol One the was sold to Hayt, Hayt & Landau, debt collects. They brought me to court and I agreed to pay them $100 month. After moving, new job, less income, and new baby, we fell be behind. They were able to get a judgement that allowed them to freeze my accounts. I have no access to my funds or to care for my family. I did not get any notice to appear in court again. I know I owe the funds however, do I have any recourse here?

Probably not, usually, when you resolve the debt there is an agreement that the judgment can be entered without notice. To know if you have recourse, a lawyer will need to look at the actual paperwork.

You should have or will received notice to file exemptions to the garnishment. See my web site on this under garnishment.
