Behind in car payment

Can they garnish my wages. I live in Florida and I am only 30 days behind?

Wages can only be garnished as a method of collecting on a judgment in a lawsuit.

A lender cannot garnish any wages unless they have first filed suit and obtained a judgment against you in a court of law. Further, under Florida law, the wages of a head of household are exempt from garnishment.
