Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Collecting a Garnishment from a DBA account

I have recently won a judgement against a poolbuilder and filed a garnishment against the business checking account for which the company does business. The poolbuilder changed the name of the acccount to a d.b.a. and let his incorporation lapse right before we went to court. After we received our judgement , he claimed that we did business with the corporation and not with him personally even though the contract does not reference the corporation (Inc). His d.b.a. is same name of the company that was once Inc'd and his account has always been set up as a business account. Also, his workman's comp and general liability is under a different company name altogether. Can he legally get away with out paying us? What should we do next. Our attorney is less than enthusicatic about the case and has been since the beginning. We don't know else what to do. We would really appreciate your help! Thanks.

Re: Collecting a Garnishment from a DBA account

If your judgment is against the corporation it now appears to be worthless. Sue him individually if you can prove it.
