Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

My friend had brought his wife to the ER of a hospital. They admitted her and after several days had told her they can not help her. She was transferred to a home and has since passed. He just received bill in her name and wanted to know whether he is responsible to pay or does he notify the hospital of her passing and disregard?

Since he brought her, I would think both he and her estate are responsible.

I diagree. Unless he signed something saying he was responsible, I do not believe he is.

Mr. Marino is correct. Unless he signed a document stating he would be responsible for her bill, then he is not.
