Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Harassment by collection agency

I receive phone calls on my work cell ohone from a collection agency telling me that I need to call my bank or my account will be closed. My bank said I am in good standing and the phone number used to belong to a delinquent member. I requested that they stop the collection agency from calling me and they said they will. Two weeks later, I still get the calls and I repeatedly report this to the bank.

Can I sue my bank for harassment?

Re: Harassment by collection agency

find out the name of the collection agency, and tell them what you told your bank. Then write a letter to the president of the bank and send a carbon copy to the collection agency. Tell the bank that the number is not yours, that your account is in good standing, and to order its collection agency to stop calling you. Send the letter to the bank certified mail (just send the agency's copy first class).

Then, if the calls don't stop, ask the question again.
