iI am married but have a child from previous marriage,i am worried about getting wages garnished,i was told that I could claim head of household since i have this child .i get $500 a month child support.can i claim head of household due to all of that?

It is not the sum your receive. Rather it is your status. Are you the 'head of household' as defined in Florida statutes.
