Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I had a judgement filed against me in NY 20 years ago on a student loan that was for $3500

Can they sue me again on the same debt? I have lived in Florida for the past 26 years. The debt is 35 years old.

YOu need to ask a NY attorney. In Florida, verbal agreements are 4 years written 5 years to enforce. If a judgment is issued, then it must be renewed periodically to keep it effective. I don't know if NY has the same law. If they do, then yes they can continue to sue you for the money.
