Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I received a summons to appear in small claims court for a credit card I could no longer afford to pay. I am not disputing the debt, I just don't have the means to pay at this time. What are my options?

Appear for the hearing - ask for mediation and see if you can get the bill reduced.

If the debt is greater than 4 years, and it is a collection company seeking payment, you may not owe the debt. If that is the case, see a consumer lawyer who handles these cases.
