Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I am a Uk citizen living in the Uk. I own a property in Florida which has halved in value and I can no longer afford to keep up the mortgage payments to the US bank.

I estimate that the loss to the bank if they foreclosed would be around $35,000.

I am worried that they could go after my family home in the UK.

Would it be possible for them to do this?

Probably not. If you are citizen of the UK, Florida has no jurisdiction over you in a foreign land.
