If i have a bench warrant in Illinois for falure to appear and turn my self in, in florida what will happen

They will hold you until they determine if Illinois will extradite you. Unless it is a serious charge they probably will not extradite you. If they do not they will let you go, but your warrant will remain active until you take care of it meaning that the next time you come in contact with law enforcement the same process will happen again. They figure that eventually you will get tired of these repeated little stints in jail and resolve the underlying charge. Otherwise they will wait until you become eligible for social security and they will withhold benefits based on having a warrant, which usually causes people to resolve the case as well.
