charged with grand theft

i am facing charges on spending 20,000+ on a bank error credited to my account. i have never been in trouble and dont have any felonies on my record the state wants to give me 2 years i have pleaded not guilty on grand theft is it possible to get probation? i wrote the judge i dont know if tht was a good idea was it ?

No it it not a good idea to write the judge. I can't believe a lawyer would have advised that.
