Charged with 2nd deg murder now what?part 1

Prostitute jumped in vehicle demanded money from defendant, started punching him about the head (climbed over the center console to do it) he hand injurded left hand chose to threaten her with broke (no bullet) handgun, began defending himself with gun used to hit decedent in head. Decendant had severe liver disease which didn't allow for blood to clot properly which lead to her bleeding out. Defendant tried cpr and left body on side of road. Police never read him his miranda rights he had no criminal record and asked about council but they persuaded him to talk, he was extremely remourseful upon learning that she was in fact dead. He was just found guilty by a jury of 2nd deg murder....How could this not be manslaughter at least if not justifiable homicide? It occured in Broward county.

It sounds like the jury had more information than you have or have provided here.

If there was error by the judge or prosecutor then the convicted person's attorney should consider an appeal.
