Civil Remedies for Criminal Practices
I have been a lawsuit filed against me stating I stole money from a company and they are seeking repayment. If I repay the money is that the end of the case or can they pursue criminal charges and why haven't they filed criminal charges as of yet?

Don't know why they havent filed criminal charges. It could be that they dont have the proof required to be successfull in a criminal case, a higher standard of proof is necessary for a criminal conviction... Just a thought..
If i were to settle the civil case i would only do it in exchance for a full release of any monies owed and a notarized waiver of criminal prosecution.
