concealed weapon

a friend was carrying a concealed weapon on a college campus he used to attend it is registered in his name but he got charged with carrying a concealed weapon. He has never been in trouble before with the law and the gun was not loaded or anything. It did have bullets in it though. The police were coming to arrest him because he got kicked out of school. so the arrest was suppose to be made for tresspassing but he had no charge for tresspassing it was for carrying a concealed weapon

Hello: I read your comments, but I'm unclear what your question is. Are you aware whether he is charged with a Federal crime or a State crime? Also, has he been to Court yet? He should have an atty. I would guess, he is charged with an enhanced crime with a weapon on school grounds. These are things an atty. would need to know to give proper advice.
