Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Humiliation

My boyfriend has nude pictures of me. While he was intoxicated a female neighbor went through his room and found the pictures of me. I have a voice mail from her saying she is going to send them to my parents and sisters, and brothers. They are very compromising positions. CAN I LEGALLLY STOP THIS.

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

Maybe. You should immediately retain an attorney to send a cease and desist letter to the woman. The chances are great that she will not send the pictures to anyone or take any other action if she knows she is facing a possible civil action which could only result in a severe inconvenience or substantial penalty for her if she gets sued. If the letter does not scare her away, the attorney should file an action for injunctive relief to prohibit her from distributing the photos to anyone. In the meantime, your boyfriend can demand the pictures back and threaten her with civil action also for her trespass in his residence. Unless he gave her permission, she would have no right to go through his belongings and certainly not to take any personal items including your photos.
