Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My husband was issued a stay away order against me by the courts even though I stated I was not afraid of him and wanted to work on our problems. We followed the rules. I went to court three weeks later to have it modified and they refused. How can this be right? I have rights to be with my husband we have a buisness together, share a home and a car. This is causing extreme financial and emotional stress. What do I do?

You can speak with his criminal lawyer and he may be able to set a motion for contact in front of the court.

If this is a Miami case you could retain counsel yourself and sign a nonprosecution affidavit. The attorney can also get the stay away order modified so that you can have peaceful contact with your husband. If you need help please call my office 305.670.3119.
