Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My husband is a roadside technician and was out on a call for work tonight.A guy in a car started yelling at him to move his vehicle so he could pull forward instead of just putting his vehicle in reverse and leave not the case my husband told the guy he was there to perform a lockout and then turned to do his paperwork the guy exited his vehicle and walked my behind my husband yelling racial slurs because my husband is white my husband noticed the guy right behind him so he spun around trying to get away and made accidental contact trying to spin away so my husband tries to get in his car to leave when the guy charges his window and begins throwing punches thru the driver side window hitting my husband at this time a crowd of black people started chargingbmy husband and his car so he left ..Well now police called saying they are charging me with battery How can that be when this guy attacked my husband ..

They can charge him but he can also claim self defense. You need to get an attorney right away.
