Legal Question

I am laidoff recieving unemployment benefits I recieved a letter from the goverment that they will pay for me to go back to school my questions i have a felony will this be a problem recieving aloan or grant and i use to be licensed as alab techician will this felony be a problem for trying something in the medical field or any other field
