Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

How long can a person sit is jail without a bond hearing?

Are there any laws that state how long a person is allowed to stay in jail without a bond hearing, after formal chargers have been filed? Bail had been set, but no bond hearing for just one person that has not been assigned a public defender since June 6th? Is this allowed?

Bail and bond are the same thing. Defendants dont get bond hearings unless their attorney files one. If a PD is not assigned yet, he may not have qualified for one.
