Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Misdemenor: stole 2 books from Barnes & Noble.

To whom it may concern,

I was caught putting two books in my bookbag at a Barnes & Noble in Miami. I was apprehended by security before i stepped outside the door. I admitted to stealing the books. I will be going to the hearing July 3rd. I am concerned as to what my punishment might be. Please take into consideration that I am a first time offender. The amount of the books added up to about $50-$60.

Most likely, Pre-trial diversion. You pay a fine and attend "values clarification" classes and they drop the charges. Maybe do a few community service hours. The Judge will explain it to you at your arraignment. It is unlikely you will face any jail time.
