Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
proper procedure or fraud
a lawyer has been hired and paid.There is documented evidences that he has already began working on the case.However he has never notified the judgethat he has taken the case he said this himself Is this legal?

Lawyers aren't required to notify judges immediately when they begin working on cases. Sometimes it's beneficial to wait to notify the judge, such as when you don't want the other side to know that a lawyer is involved. It's often tactically advantageous for a lawyer to make a surprise appearance in court to catch the other side off guard, for example. The lawyer will probably notify the court and the other side of his appearance at the appropriate time.
