Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Is it possible to request for a summary probation or non-supervised probation

I've currently been on Felony Probation for 2 1/2 years now and have about 6 months left of my probation period but I'm paying restitution and won't be finished paying after the probation period is over. Is there a way to request for a summary probation or non-supervised probation?

Yes, you could request non-reporting probation; however, this may be a hard sell to the Judge.

The judge may not want to reward you for not complying with the original terms of probation (ie. the paying of the restitution).

What I would do would be to file a motion to modify the probation and try to get administrative (non-reporting) probation and if that would not work then get your probation lengthened.

otherwise your probation officer will violate you when the money is not paid and a warrant will be issued for your arrest.

My office is here in South Florida, feel free to give me a ring and we can discuss this case further.
