Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

In the state of florida does a mother have to testify against her son on some kind of weapons charge? I have no lawyer and I am was told I will receive a supoena. Don't want to do this!

If you are subpoenaed then you are legally obligated to come to court and testify. You must testify as to the truth. Unless you fear incriminating yourself, there is no basis to refuse to testify.

I agree with Mr. Trabin that there is no legally protected privilege and a mother could be forced to testify against her son. That is why it will be helpful to have a lawyer navigate you through this minefield.
