Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

What will happen to me if I run from a possible felony DUI charge?

First of all, I don't need anyone to tell me how much of an idiot I am because I already know that. I am not proud of my actions and I do know I don't deserve to drive ever again. I don't plan on it.

With that being said, I haven't been sentenced yet and I've hired a lawyer but his outlook on the situation seems to be very bleak. I am looking at up to 5 years in prison, loss of driving privileges for the rest of my life, and a felony charge on my record forever. I know I sound like a totally insane person to be thinking of running, but I feel my situation is completely hopeless. No matter what I do, having a happy life is never going to happen for me now. What I am wondering is if I run, will they come looking for me in another state? Would this become a federal matter at that point or is it a state issue? Would they send people to look for me? Will they find me?
