Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Florida

I was under some pressures & decided to get stinky drunk in the comfort of my own home. A girlfriend came over... I got up from the couch when she drove up and made sure the front door was locked. I wanted to be ALONE. She broke & entered my home through my bedroom window that was open about six inches by removing the screen & climbing over my bed-frame. I told her I wanted to alone and to leave. Instead, she called 911 and the Sheriff came over. Seeing that my eyes were dilated & my medication bottles were on the coffee table... not empty, except for my Synthroid bottle (a hormone) which was empty for a week because I didn't have the money to refill it, the Sheriff, Baker Acted me. While I was at Lakeview, my car was reposessed (because I did not get a chance to call my Credit Union that Monday to let them know my payment was late... they worked with me all the time on that). I wasn't bothering anybody... just wanted to be drunk... I remember the whole incident & told the Sheriff I wasn't trying to kill myself. Do I NOT have the right to get drunk in my own home??? I have my car back now, but had to pay $200.00 for the towing fee & storage, plus I had to pay an extra $70.00 to get my Natural Gas turned back on too.

Please advise... I felt like I was in Nazi, Germany... I feel like my rights were COMPLETELY violated.

Thanks,

Elizabeth C. Busch
