Legal Question in DUI Law in Florida

serving probation in a different county

I recently got a second DUI (outside five

years) where according to what I have

read will not allow me to receive a

hardship license. I have come to the

conclusion that I might have to move to

the county that I work in so that I can

survive. If I moved from Pinellas where

the charge is pending and moved to

Hillsborough would I be able to serve

any DUI duties like DUI school and

probation in that county instead of in

Pinellas?

Re: serving probation in a different county

Yes, you should be allowed to transfer your probation to any county in Florida to complete the dictates of your probation. Should you violate, however, you will be incarcerated locally and then transported back to the original county.
