Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I'm 17 and I turn 18 in 4 months. I'm a freshman in college. My parents aren't living here and they're threatening to take away any financial help money phone and car just because I'm dating a guy they don't approve of which by the way they have no grounds to disprove of. Can they take legal action against him or his parents if in 2 months I purchase a plane ticket myself to Illinois where he is and stay with him until I'm 18?

This close to 18 - probably spend more money than it is worth. However, if they take away your financial help, phone and car - do you really want to do this. Education is so important. If he cares so much about you - why isn't he making the sacrafice to come here. Sounds to me you are giving up all for what? What is he giving up. I bet he is not in college, has a mediocre job and no future plans other than living with his mom. Really! Visit the dude - but don't give up the ship - the dingy probably has holes and will sink.
