Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Annulment of Adoption of an Adult Child

Would like to know the law pertaining to annulment of the adoption of an adult child. This child is married, in her 30s, and in another state. One purpose is to prevent claims of inheritance or any other ties to the adopted father.

Re: Annulment of Adoption of an Adult Child

Florida Law - Once someone is adopted they are considered your own. You can't now unadopt them just like you can't change the fact that biological children are born. If it is your desire to protect inheritances then I suggest that you have a will drafted to take of this.
