Re: Child Custody

There is a preference for the children to remain with their mother - no doubt. However, a father has the same rights as a mother when it comes to custody. The father needs to have a sincere desire to raise the children, usually occupation of the family home is a strong point (children are kept in original home whenever possible), Stable employment, stable life. If this is after the divorce and custody has already been given to the mother the court will not intervene unless it is in the best interest of the children (mother has become unstable in some fashion - must be articulable).
