Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

child support

History - dwight was divorced with 2 kids. one night and i now have a surprise 2 year old. Dwight wantd nothing to do with matthew and moved away right after my son was born. He is now moving to PA. (from FL) I am at a point where I needhelp monetarily with matthew. CS, etc. I too am divorced and do not want my son to go through what my daughter does with her father. Can I go after CS? Can I get him to pay Day care? WHat if he suddenly wants rights? (He is not on the birth cert)? That is the main reason i have not gone after him yet. He wants nothing to do with my son which is fine. But i do need some help. Can you tell me options?

Re: child support

First, you must establish paternity. In some instances the Dept. of Revenue may assist. Ask them. Once he moves to PA it will take longer, best get a lawyer and work on it quick.

Re: child support

Until you establish paternity, there are no rights to child support.
