Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

contempt of court

My ex filed a contempt of court against me.He wants for me to pay his attorneys fees, airline tikets and my encarceration. All because i didn't send the children to him because he failed to send child support prior to this trip, which he fails to mention. I can't be there and do not have any legal representation because i can't afford it. I wrote a letter and sent it to the judge explaining my situation and my side of the story. Will this be excepted?

Re: contempt of court

Be sure that you respond to the allegations that your ex has stated. File that response with the clerk of court and the other attorney. If you have a hearing date request that you can appear by phone. All communications to the Judge must also be sent to the other attorney and mark that on the letter to inform the Judge that you have notified the other side.
