Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I'm going through a custody modification. I have proof of instability, arrests, and visitation interferance from the ex. Due to a small home and two younger children, I had to convert my garage into a bedroom for the older one. I didn't get a permit, but it is carpeted furnished, heat/AC, and insulated. It looks like a normal bedroom with a garage door on one wall. This is all my ex has on me. Will this hurt my chances of getting custody. I live in florida. Custody now is 50/50.

No you are not living in Section 8 housing where there are rules as to rooms and children. Sounds like you are a good person.
